why we do what we do

At DeClare Cakes our life mission is to inspire people to dream BIG! We feel that no moment is too small to celebrate. Family and friends are the most important thing to us and memories we cherish the most are those where all our family and friends are gathered together. That is why we do what we do… life is about dotting the “i” and being intentional about slowing down and making memorable lasting moments.

 

how we got started

DeClare Cakes began making wedding cakes in Charleston, South Carolina in 2009, by Chef Debbie Reed and Alison Reed. Mother and daughter-in-law respectively. For Chef Deb, the journey started in Gastonia, NC  when she made her first wedding cake in 1986. Chef Deb has been mastering her skill ever since. Alison, an entrepreneur at heart, teamed up with her mother-in-law, Debbie and thus…DeClare Cakes was born! (De -Debbie   Clare- Alison’s middle name)
